It wasn’t the 1st time that they’d got free behind Mads & pulled it back for Armstrong- happened a few minutes earlier but Jack saved the shot - we didn’t learn from it. I don’t think Mads is especially slow but switched off - it is our Achilles heel

I also note that nobody has picked up on the second goal when instead of closing down Gallagher , Kane decided to turn his back & his shot went through the space created by Kane, shame because he had a cracking game up to that but it would not have happened if Mowatt had been on the pitch , he never bottles a tackle & surely he would have closed Gallagher down

I didn’t look at that goal with any detail. Thought both were good strikes

Poor defending down our left again. Far too easy to get in a cross, poor header out, no pressure from Victor and you’re correct Kane turns his back on it. Schoolboy defending!

Both goals came from errors that we had a good chance to recover from but individual players failed to make good decisions.
And to top that off we missed 2/3 decent chances of our own.

Not the end of the world but need to start putting our chances away.

    Just this.

Before the game there was plenty of reference to them being top scorers this season - we should and could have outscored them on Saturday.

Once he went he just had to win the ball imo. With the position he was in (right on the byline) their player could only pull it back. Helik stepping out to meet him left Armstrong free and so he just had to win / block it. Hey ho, mistakes happen - learn from it and improve. Agree others shared the blame too though.
