Can you please write a message that says: “ideally we win 3 out of our 4 next games easily and draw the other?”
Not half as as bad as Lee f.cking Johnson. At least Hill had a team in the top end of the Championship before it was destroyed in a January transfer window
I hate Johnson, too. I'd sooner Boris Johnson than him. (You may notice I have changed my tune since Wednesday appointed Pulis. When Johnson was linked with Wednesday, I wanted to talk him up in the hope that someone would see it, and give him an interview. He's incompetent, and arrogant. He should never work in football again, unless it's at Elland Road, Hillsborough, Bramall Lane, or the New Den. I even tweeted Johnson's account with screenshots of the nice things I'd said about him, because someone at Wednesday might have been sniffing around his profile. It didn't work, though, much to my disappointment.) I also despise Hill. Once you start criticising the people who pay your wages, you're toast. In my view, Hill covered up his very many shortcomings by slagging off the fanbase, and it was never going to be long before he ran out of rope. M'Voto, McNulty, Kennedy, Wiseman - shocking recruitment. You sign half the Rochdale team, you end up playing Rochdale eventually, and so it proved. I realise it's not an easy task to manage Barnsley in the Championship, but there are ways to do it, and ways to not do it. I think he even blamed the wind once. Parachute payments. The fans. Fvck off, you Peter Kay-sounding tosspot.
I loved them both - outstanding leaders of men, with consistently good results on the field. What isn't to absolutely adore?
Actually wanted Tranmere - have been going to Tranmere and bringing a Tranmere fan to Oakwell this past year. (Another dad on my sons football team) irony is not lost that we won’t be able to attend!
That'll do nicely. Though no guarantees. I'd rather have a good chance to get through to the fourth round than lose 3-O at Arsenal or Chelsea in the 3rd.
Thank heavens it wasn't Marine. Just the word makes me sea sick As Max Boyce said 'I was there' though I don't think he was talking about Marine
Tranmere is fine with me. Stick Halme, Victor, some of the U23s in & give them a run out & see what they can do against decent opponents. League has to be the main focus this year, especially with the packed fixture list & our rather thin squad in certain areas.
