agreed. They were hopelessly dreadful. The ref was worse. Slightly comedy match, enjoyed it. important 3 points. You mid-table mediocre reds.
Well done reds! Wycombe know their limitations and they are never going to play an open attacking game of football at this level. They made it difficult for us but a deserved three points in the end. Expect more of the same from Wednesday at the weekend!
Deserved three points against opponents who never even tried to play football. At least we've shown that we can battle & grind out results when we're nowhere near our best. Not pretty, but thankfully we've won. Sollbauer my MOTM.
Turgid effort from both sides. Like watching the old 4th division. It's a win, and we have won a fair few recently, but you've now got decent footballers just hoofing it forward.
I should have known as they played exactly the same way when we last played them in League 1. Truly terrible football
Phew. Fantastic way to bounce back after the Bournemouth game, great win against a limited but tough side who plenty of teams haven't managed to beat so far. Well done lads
I agree, but fair play to them for being hard to beat though, not good to watch but they are good at spoiling games and will nick draws off a fair few teams. Well done reds
Good grief, that was almost painful even though we won. A deserved win but crikey what a poor game. I like Woodrow but my goodness I thought he was poor tonight. We desperately need to have a bit of possession in the last third, it comes back too easy. I’ll finish on a positive and say we battled well and deserved the win but it needn’t have been like that with a bit more nouse and composure in the last third
Good warm up for a Pulis team that, again young lads will have learned a lot. Halme needs to get in the gym and bulk up his upper body. He was too lightweight in his battles in the air. He struggles to set his feet as well. Lots of potential but I suppose he needs games.
I love how the Wycombe defenders complained about the penalty after Woodrow had scored from open play. What exactly would they have preferred the ref to do?
