    Just seen he's done his achilles. Poor lad, that's just about the worst injury you can get as a footballer. He looked like their only decent player, pretty much.

    That bloody pitch wouldn't have helped matters. I know pitches were bad until recent years etc etc but the new boots the modern players wear aren't made for such surfaces.

    that pitch reminded me of a field I walked on once and my shoe got sucked off my foot, ended up with a wet sock, nothing to do with this injury but just thought about it now

    wonder if the good old fashioned massages Norman Hunter used to do would help, never many players out back then,with leg injuries like now
