They're ripping up the pitch straight after the game. Looks from the picture like they've already started.
Plus it's been raining there all day today, and forecast is for rain all day tomorrow. Not expecting much football being played tomorrow. A point would be a great result
Amber flood warning reported on BBC 2 hours ago for the Swansea area. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-55360596 Combine that with the state of the pitch and there's a chance that no football will be played.
The heavier the better for us IMO. We've had an extra day off and conditions might suit us better than Swansea. I know we can play good football but if it becomes a slog I think we are better equipped than them as I don't think they can change their game.
I can recall their manager back in the 70s criticising our pitch, saying it was 'like Swansea Bay with the tide out,' so what goes, around comes around! Maybe the long-ball game will be better suited to our current style of play. Who knows?
After the hammering we give them tomorrow, they'll be only too pleased to dig the pitch up. Probably take it away and cremate it too.
This would av been a pristine playing surface in the 70s, huge puddles in the penalty areas, playing with an orange ball in an inch of snow, bye eck, your youngens dunt know ya born....
Exactly will suit us more that is for sure. Can see it been like Wycombe/Wednesday game with a lot of long balls which we dealt with very well with 3 towering centre halves. Helps we’ve had an extra days rest aswell if the field is going to be heavy. Having a youthful squad will benefit us massively in the congested pile up of fixtures and the recent past results are showing this.
