Happy as Larry. Asked his opinion about the covid shutdown.
He was over the moon as it meant he did not have to visit the mother in law.

Maybe not the best idea to post this joke given one of the other active threads at the minute.

I know you didn’t mean any harm but a bit insensitive.

Unfortunately I am in the same position having lost my mother in law a couple of weeks ago and a funeral to come next Tuesday. Having said that I take no offence at the post and gave a little snigger myself as my mother in law would have. I think these days it is not hard to take offence. I hope Dragon won’t and can accept the joke in the manner intended.

Sorry to have posted this but I did it without a second thought. And I apologise for any hurt I may have inflicted on anyone.
I am FB friends with Dragon and have messaged him and apologised.

Not a lot more I can do other than again say sorry.

I know you didn’t mean any harm at all mate and I didn’t want to make a big deal out of nothing and I’m sure Dragon didn’t take offence, Just didn’t feel right, you know?

Ian is by no means a bad person. I have met him on more than one occasion and totally know what a complete gent he is. I have sat in the well and taken a drink with him. He is a top bloke. This is just an unfortunate timing event. I have no reaason to take umbrage with Ian, and take absolutley no offence. Ian puyt your mind at rest I still value you as a friend and always will do.

Great reaction DT....it's just a reminder hopefully, that an occasional tweet or comment off the cuff is not someone making a statement intended to belittle anyone or change the world...my mother in law was a real sweetie but I might have made the same comment in jest,
