Which is too many really. Particularly as Jordan Williams can play there too and has looked the best option on the left of the three for my money. Surprised we've offered as much as we have for Kitching (assuming the quoted figure is in the right ball park). That's no reflection on his ability, it just seems like an awful lot of money in the current climate. The left side of the back 3 has been the weakest, but Andersen seems to have got his bearings in the last few weeks and with Williams returning from injury and Sibbick from loan it just seems extravagant to sign another player for the position. I'm not complaining we're signing someone, it's just that our funds are limited and what you spend in one area restricts what you can spend elsewhere.
Makes you wonder if the rumours of money being offered for Andersen might have legs. Sibbick returning might be a red herring though, he’s not kicked a ball in anger in Belgium. He might just as likely be off to league two on loan as be part of our squad.
I can see why we were attracted to him - he's got the kind of physique you associate with top players and he looks like an Ajax U21 player, like Frank Rikjaard's and Ruud Gullit's love child. Even Arsene Wenger had him in for a trial I think, which probably encouraged us to go for him. Some players just don't seem to fulfill their potential. Mike Bahre springs to mind.
I think at Wimbledon he played Right wing back, during their amazing escape from relegation just before we signed him
Do you think we've got infinite funds? Money that literally goes on forever? That's impossible, hence I know.
I think Toby has potential. He showed signs of developing into a good player when he was here. I was surprised when we moved him on. Glad he's back. Strengthens the squad.
I had that when I was 16. Felt the effects of it for a long, long time after(I was still feeling weak well over a year later!). If he gets back to anywhere near the level of fitness he was prior, I'd be very impressed...
