Have you watched any of the Blunt games recently? Seems like Wilder's strategy is kicking your opponent as hard as you can get away with this season.
Agree. But I Never saw him deliberately try maim a player. And he got booked regularly. based on reputation rather than physical intent. There was only one winner on 50/50s and he was the man. Always with the intention of getting the ball.
Francis lee. Once had Norman back pedalling. Tough striker with a great goal scoring record. Many many great tough footballers and not little skill. A lot would have made it still. In today’s football. Ability always shines through and they would have adapted.
I've watched one Premier league game this season, which was on the BBC (Leicester vs Burnley). I saw them play a couple of times last season, and I felt they looked out of their depth, but kept picking up results. There was a game with Everton whee they didn't get a sniff, and won (2-0) I think, from one defensive error, and one absolutely world class goal. They've probably changed tact a little to try and **** house their way through games. Wilder was getting a lot out of his mid table championship side last year, I think they've been found out this year.
Brendan O'Connell, would kick everything in close proximity and usually got away with it, and sometimes he'd kick the ball. Wouldn't get away with it nowadays though
