Around 70% of the UK need the vaccine to achieve the level of inoculation we need. It will be a while. Almost 50 million people
What the **** are you on about now? You’ve lost the plot pal. I’ve commented on nothing whatsoever other than the upcoming Rotherham game not being deemed a midweek game. I’ve said nothing at all about Conway, any of the other owners or anything they’ve done over the last ‘year or two’. Not one thing. I find it bizarre how quick you are to see things that arent there.
I wasn't going to nibble at this, as I explained as best as I can the other day. But I need to give more detail on your other accusations. We didn't falsely advertise shirts on seats. When we announced that, months ago, it was given the all-clear. But health and safety got involved and we were told no. And so we've been giving them to supporters instead. The 'tunnel thing' was tough to implement as early as we'd have liked, because it is deemed a Red Zone. So only those part of an EFL testing programme can enter. Except during international breaks when it becomes Amber. We were also still seeing sales coming in, so decided to wait it out before getting the people in who could decorate the tunnel areas with all of our members' names. There isn't a club out there who've not found this last year a big challenge. There are very few also who've been as open, generous and fan-focused as we have. I am proper proud of the handful of us who've gone above and beyond during this period to get things right. For our fans. And so we've been doing our very best the last few days to try and find a way around this EFL nonsense regards the Rotherham game but we've got nowhere with it. Most of us are more worried about visiting their footprint considering they're riddled with COVID, but such is life. The FA Cup game against Tranmere is free on the BBC. At least the EFL haven't stung fans there. But on the above issue, they have done. And I've still no idea why. Because it just supports the idea of illegal streaming. So as I said the other day, I fully agree with the points that a few of you have made and I'm sorry we can't fix this for you. I'd love nothing more to announce otherwise.
I really dont understand why Supertyke is so upset with Barnsley FC here. When the Season Tickets went on Sale the club said Resserved + would get away codes subject to EFL approval - it wasnt hidden away -in the small print - I might be wrong but was there an * and then at the bottom somthing that said this. Once the EFL made their, in my view stupid decision, that this could only be done for away games that were midweek - the club explained that was the case and we had to accept it. I wasnt happy about it but my complaint is with the EFL not the club. If the EFL now make the even dumber decision that a 7:45pm kick off on Tuesday 29th December is a weekend I still dont have a problem with Barnsley FC. They cant provide the service because the EFL have ruled they cant. I think the EFL are in the wrong not the club To answer the claims that the ticket is bought from BFC not the club - thats true but the club clearly stated that they could only provide games the EFL allowed them to. I have many criticisms of the way the owners run the club but this isnt one of them - it really isnt. Still not decided whether I will spend the tenner or just not bother - thats if the game is even played
How many Reserved+ members are there out of interest? It surely can't be that many can it? It would be brilliant if the club gave these members the game on the house (pay for the codes from Ifollow themselves) as a make do for the EFL being arseholes. What do we have? 9k season ticket holders? Even if 6k are are Reserved+ members then it's only 60 grand. Chicken feed to billionaires that.
I'm not paying out again .I 'll either listen on the radio or if son gets an illegal stream might watch that. I can see where @SuperTyke is coming from but I know the club employees are doing their best to keep us happy too. Still think the game should be called off if COVID is widespread within the club.
I agree it would be nice. The club get 80% to 100% back anyway so it’s not even 60 grand. My point was just that if there’s no procedure for getting the codes I’m not sure what they can do beyond giving a tenner to everyone. And giving a tenner to everyone is not something we can really expect in my opinion, it would be a gesture. A nice gesture and an appreciated one, but it shouldn’t be expected.
Bit of learning for the club next season should we be in a similar position. Only offer up what can actually be given. Wouldn’t be in this predicament if it wasn’t for the daft subject to “EFL approval” line.
That was the rhetoric trotted out after last year's season ticket fiasco too where they too money and didn't provide what was advertised. That's what's annoying it isn't a one off its something they should've learnt from but simply didn't and it's always someone else's fault. Oh we can't give you access to the members area we promised because it's harder than we thought, we couldn't do the tunnel because we didn't realise we couldn't for a few months, we can't do shirts in seats like we advertised because someone else says we can't, we can't offer you the advertised games because someone else said we can't etc etc. It's time they realised they are a multimillion pound company owned by billionaires and they should act like it. Research whether or not things are possible before advertising them and make amends when things go wrong instead of blindly making promises that cannot be fulfilled and then blaming others
I know it’s your choice but I hope not a single person pays; if ever there should be a boycott of a game it should be when someone is trying to pretend a Tuesday is a Saturday to scam people into paying twice. I wouldn’t have had it included anyway but no way will they get a penny out of me for this game on principle.
That’s entirely your choice, I fully understand your opinion, as you have respected mine. However, after attending many away games over the course of my life means I have been shafted by pricing many times, and to be honest, if paying a tenner to watch my beloved football team for 90 minutes in this shitty year makes it an iota better, I’m definitely paying it.
We want it on. The last thing we need is a backlog of games. There’s a good chance we’ll end up having a couple postponed through Covid later in the season so we need to get as many on as possible
I'm certainly not paying. As far as I'm concerned, I already have (paid). I'm actively hunting for an illegal stream to make good my loss.
No we don’t. Once the vulnerable are protected the rest can take there chances. It then is no different to seasonal bugs. We’ll be sorted by mid Feb and the Torys will ensure we get back to normal once the hospital rates fall.
