If the game goes ahead (covid, snow, other acts of god etc) this is one I'm fairly confident for. We don't seem to play each other very often, due to both sides several promotions and relegations over the last 20 or so years. We won our only ever league visit to the New York, back in 2017, which means we're unbeaten away to Rotherham in our last 4 (3 wins and a draw) dating back to 1982. Rotherham's home form is inconsistent (W3, D2, L4), and overall, they've only won 1 of their last 8 (6 defeats). Our record against teams currently in the bottom half is still very good (P11, W8, D2, L1) and we've beaten all of the current bottom 6, barring Rotherham. Whilst they've had a period of rest, our side doesn't appear to tire anyway, so I don't see that as much of a disadvantage to us. We've now scored 8 goals in the final 10 minutes of games, which further proves that we stay in games until the end. I fancy a narrow victory, as Rotherham haven't been blown away by anyone at home yet. But I think it's another game where we'll try to keep it tidy in the 1st half, and grind out the win in the 2nd half. 1-0 Woodrow.
Tough one. Their squad is ravaged, they're either deflated or they're angry and the adversity unites them. I'd love to think that we get get an early one and draw them out and go on to get a couple more. In reality I think we'll give away our customary one goal start, they'll work their nuts off in an exhaustive rear guard and we'll manage a long range pot shot for the draw. I'll say 1-1 - Mowatt.
2 1 win. Nervy ending. This is barnsley we can make a simple situation hard for ourselves wouldn't be us of that wasn't the case
Rotherham down to the bare bones Not had any time to prepare Us in the top 10 I think, deep down, we all know how this is going to go...
Thinking exactly the same. It's like teams seeking their first win of the season and then playing us. Maybe we should ask the Premier League if we could play the Blunts just to help them out
