Zlatan. Pushing 40, and still destroying Serie A. And there isn't a shred of humility in the guy. He did a Covid warning for northern Italy, which went something like: "Zlatan caught Covid, but because Zlatan is a lion, Zlatan won. You are not Zlatan, so please take precautions." I love him.
Madeline Wright. Plays for Charlton now. Not sure what her favourite position is but I'd love to find out
It would be Alex Mowatt but I’ll exclude Barnsley players so probably Salah or Mane. Both brilliant to watch & get lots of goals & assists. Would’ve been Messi a year or two back but I don’t watch anywhere near as much European football nowadays
I only know Barnsley footballers. So, Sollbauer for being such a great influence, Woodrow for touches of genuine class, Matty James for being Matty James, and Brittain. I've seen Nicky Eaden, Neil Thompson and Darren Barnard play wing back for Barnsley. I've seen John Stones, Kieran Trippier, Mason Holgate and John Beresford play full back. Callum Brittain's performances are on a par with any of those when they were in a reds shirt. I also think Palmer is going to be a great player and I really enjoy watching him play. And although I'm aware of his limitations I really like Victor. Favourite ex-Barnsley player is Ethan Pinnock. He was majestic. Possibly the best I've seen.
