Lord Hannan, who has never been elected to the British Parliament, who isn't even British (he was born and raised in Peru) and thinks that revoking GDPR and REACH (and other regulation) will free British businesses to grow rapidly by being legally unable to buy or sell from customers in the EU.

Unfortunately we have to put up with whatever comes our way. Keeping a few immigrants out matters more than workers rights so we have to live with it. The only satisfaction we remainers can now look forward to is seeing the bad ship Boris p off into the sunset which hopefully will be sooner rather than later.

Somehow, this will still be the fault of the EU/Labour/Lefties.

Brexit was is and always will be about turning Britain into a sweat shop. Right wing Tories have always hated the fact that the EU could introduce rights for the workers and they could do nothing to stop them. Sadly too many fools fell for the lies that brexit was about taking back control of things like fishing and borders it wasn't it was about removing rights and safeguards for workers, consumers and environmental protections that reduce profit margins for bad companies, theres a reason that people like the owner of weatherspoons were so keen on brexit and it wasn't to help fishermen.

Don't forget tax avoidance. Plenty of Brits still think the likes of Johnson, Rees-Mogg, Redwood et al are championing Brexit for the common man and the country. Just goes to show how many gullible people there are in the UK.

The fishermen are already very angry about the great deal - Cornish shell fishermen (and some in Yorkshire and Lancashire too) are unable to export their catch so are just sat on land not earning. Scottish aquaculturists (salmon farming, etc) have the same problem. And Brixham fish market were also complaining. Many of these are the very people who voted for it, pushed for it, and suddenly seem to be unhappy with it. They've been used and abused.

Good!!!! you reap what you sow they didn't give a **** about how brexit would affect other sectors of the economy when they voted for it the fact Johnson shafted them because his bottle went at the last minute is tough luck. They may think twice now before putting their cross against a Tory, ukip or brexit / reform party candidate at the next election but I doubt it.
I've no sympathy for any brexiteer who suffers because of brexit it's not like they weren't warned my sympathy is for people who voted remain and are adversely affected by brexit.

It was inevitable. The fish we can catch we generally export and the fish we like to eat we generally import.

No it can’t be, people posted on here that it was just part of project fear by the Remoaners. I mean, as if the Tories would want to alter terms and conditions and take away worker’s rights. What do they have to gain by doing so? Oh, wait a minute

It was just a matter of time. I'm surprised it took this long to be honest.

I really feel for the younger generations; students can't go to Europe to widen their educations, they will be expected to work longer and longer before they retire, their rights as workers will be eroded and all of them will have their futures blighted by the economic damage caused by Brexit and COVID.

I'm bloody glad I'm almost retired....

    Yeah!
Just allow the evil corporations to mine our private data and selling it on without asking for our consent is much more sensible than giving us the option to opt out.

GDPR needs modifying, it's knackered up track and trace. No one on the ground knew who or where victims were due to Public Health England refusing to share data.

No reason for that to be so other than incompetence.

Other EU countries got track & trace working

Not an expert, but I reckon if they’d done what the experts suggested and let health authorities run T&T there’d have been no issues. I’d bet that the Tories swift contracting of T&T resulted in there being inadequate data sharing provisions.

The govt shares data with providers all the time in order to do its business.
