Can you still go to Durham or is that just certain people?

Exactly this. Focus on the larger groups who are taking the piss.

She should have just said she was a parent. I seem to remember bozo said that parents were allowed to use their own judgement on which laws to stick to and doing so wouldn't constitute a breach of the law not the spirit of the law.

I always walk round when visiting home. When restrictions were lifted I spent a week at my parent's working, and in the evenings I'd go there to clear my head.

I'm supposed to go an get my mitre saw from my son's tomorrow and he lives near Hinkley. I'm seriously thinking I should leave it. It sort of makes more sense to go and buy one for £50 from Toolstation rather than risk a £200 fine....

Really, not seen that, I regularly travel between Kendal and Windermere for work, not seen much Police presence at all lately, still a few touristy types in Bowness and a lot of walkers in the area, esp around Rydal, Ambleside and grasmere yesterday

You probably wouldn't get pulled anyway I guess they are checking where cars are from using ANPR and only stopping those that are registered outside Cumbria. Also I guess they are stopping ones just coming off the M6 not so much cars already in Kendal. If I wanted an illegal visit to the lakes heading cross country to shap would be a safer way in

Totally agree. I bet the Derbyshire fuzz saw the two young women coming a mile off. Easy pickings, 'make an example' etc. They probably used it as a training drill. In reality they've just embarrassed themselves.
