From a personnel point I can turn it out with the best, but I never swear or curse when I am in the company of my wife , kids, grandkids or in a public place where others are & I must admit that when I sit at Oakwell with my Grandkids I cringe when I hear some of the stuff shouted around us , it doesn"t seem to bother the kids but its just me , old school I suppose , I just do not like it .

I think it’s just a bad habit. Same as spitting.

I’ll be in a minority, but I think they should reign it in. It’s not a great look. Or turn pitch side mics off.

Quote from the next room: Do you have to say things like that?

I suppose not, but I played my football in the 1960s when we did say things like that. Bad habit, probably, but I'm afraid it is a part of the physical game called football. How many sit and watch and feel their legs or feet involuntarily twitch or turn as we compete for a ball? It's the same with vocalisation. Not wonderful, I'll admit, but very hard to eradicate.

Typical foul-mouthed rant. But what would you expect from a former V&A employee?:D:D
