I don't think I have a problem with them locking down if necessary. I do take issue with the claim that my bar is less safe than H&M, having seen it when I went to buy my girlfriend some socks. I don't have an issue with following rules - I have, after all, been relentlessly enforcing them for months. I just want them to be reasonable, not made up the fly, and applicable to everybody.
I live in a fairly isolated village, but people still driving up for their ‘exercise’. I Feel more like an exorcism. There’s nothing open here, except our little local shop. A life saver for residents. But if Zoe & Craig get infected, we’ll be bollocksed. Villagers have to get out for essential stuff, but lessen the risk & leave us alone. Stay the **** out of Wentworth.
Am I missing something, why wouldn’t you take advice from a behavioural scientist when making decisions that are aimed at changing behaviour
agree with you 100% the way they have treated the hospitality and entertainment industries is absolutely disgusting.
I helped to build the vicarage there in 1980 when I was an apprentice Brickie and used to go in the shop. I also rebuilt a wall of an old lady's house and she came out with a nice piece of cake and a cup of tea for me. Got nattering and was amazed to find she didn't have electricity, didn't want it either.
The latest 'handout' doesn't even cover 3 months rent in my local. At a guess I reckon it'll be autumn at the earliest. We all know they'll be the last to get back 'to normal'. At least Poundland is open.......
What sensationalist nonsense. There is no such thing being done! I think that's a deliberately "dramatic" post.
Spent quite a few nights in the Rockingham Arms in Wentworth and stayed there in one of the cottages opposite once when visiting family. Also managed to nearly knock myself sensible on the low beam as you went in the door . Took Mum to the garden centre as well and popped in for a cuppa if we'd been walking round Hoober Stand way
Had a lovely dinner in the Rockingham Arms during Eat Out To Help Out. After we'd taken George to see the animals at the garden centre. Decent day out.
Ahh Sunak with his offer, those were the days. Speaking of Rishi he's talking in Parliament at half past 3 which will be full of dismal news i'm sure.
