The day we won at Sheffield Wednesday, a close family member passed away, Crystal's Uncle Maurice (her Late Mother's twin brother). Maurice was second only to my Late Father as being the kindest, sweetest, friendliest man I've known. Today was his funeral in Folkstone and it's heartbreaking that we couldn't attend. However, Crystal's cousins Alan & Nigel arranged for the service to be broadcast over the internet and we're so very grateful to them for this. Goodnight, Maurice. Sleep well. I'll leave you with this piece of music which he loved and was played at the service.
So Sorry you couldn't attend his funeral and say your last goodbyes. Sincere condolences to you, Crystal and the rest of your family. RIP Uncle Maurice
So sad Crystal and yourself couldn't attend.RIP Maurice sounds like he gave a lot in the time he was on this earth.
Sorry to hear that sad news Kev. Hard to bear even in 'normal' times but I guess even more so at the moment. What a wonderful world - what a wonderful song that again seems to resonate even more now, at least to me. Covid-19 (and perhaps my age) seems to be stimulating more thoughts about the fragility of life and therefore the importance of living it to the full. I watched 'Soul', the new'ish Disney film with my wife and daughter last night and it's the key theme in that too. Not a film children would understand by the way. Anyway, condolences again to you and your family.
Condolences to you and all the family RIP Maurice.....hope he had a peaceful passing to spirit ...sorry to hear you couldnt attend his funeral
