Might be a lot of money especially with what we are use to paying but in this day n age it’s not massive but we need to start getting the right amount for outgoing players to also pay for incoming players, we need to be able to compete against rival bidders, instead of hoping and praying for a diamond in the rough in lower leagues. I know it’s worked a few times but we are in a fantastic position at the minute, the sack is tingling and we should be doing what we can to improve the team and push on.. COME ON LETS BE HAVING YOU. He's under contract at Donny another two and a half years so he's worth far more than Mowatt on current contracts.

 

I'd be tempted to match that and see if he fancied staying closer to home!!

Agree. I’ve said it before in another thread, but we really need to find a way to reward our best performing players once they’ve proven their worth.

One thing that seems to get overlooked when discussing who we should be buying , what we should be bidding & how much we should be paying our players is the shortage of money in the game currently , our income which has been severely diminished this season ,according to some should still be of a magnitude that allows us to compete with the more affluent clubs in our league , in the real world there is pretty much a financial crisis everywhere & that includes the football world , I think we are doing remarkably well to live within our current restraints & hopefully when all the dust eventually settles we still have a club in a secure position both on & off the field as I fear many clubs will find it harder & harder to stay afloat .

 

But then if that one player breaks a leg were ******. And to be fair I'd written him off but this season victor has been more effective than miller,schmidt,freezer and chaplin.
