I feel we beat ourselves tonight. In my opinion, we ought to have defended a long throw just before half time and then a totally unnecessary and inexcusable mix up between Andersen & Helik for the second. I appreciate I'm somewhat biased, but I'm not convinced Swansea were any better than us and we have only ourselves to blame for not getting anything out of the game.

Ball retention up front hasn’t been great all season and has been painfully exposed by the better sides. Having said that it could’ve been a 0-0 draw without the comedies at the back by our players and the officials.

 

Agree with you. Annoying that we lost the first goal so near to half time and weren't at the races after we came back out. 2 0 down we were never going to win.

 

Britain turning out to be a really good player, wish he’d taken that shot in box though! Think our immaturity showed tonight against their savvy play.

Yes, it was a mix up, but caused by a quick turnover when we lost the ball at the back.

There was no need to start playing short goal kicks at all. Against the top teams, we need to learn to stay in the game. If it is still 0-1 with five minutes to go, then so be it.

 

I think he'll be better of the bench.

Morris should definitely be starting for me.

I'll happily take a mid-table finish, I think that's where we are. We're now limited in opportunity to really progress by the one-dimensional way we play. All we can hope is to play it better. Unfortunately, it has the sophistication of a Trabant.

 

I believe both Palmer & Morris' contributions warrant starts at Watford on Tuesday.

 

If you are going to play with one man in the centre up front it has to Morris better in the air,more physical ,quicker

You have no evidence at all to suggest Thomas has any ability to stack a shelf. He’s certainly not shown any aptitude to do anything in all the times I’ve seen him. I suspect you’d find baked beans on the milk aisle, facing backwards.

 

The only plus I can think of is I didn't waste £10 having to watch it. No one in the starting 11 played well tonight and I don't think there's any value in calling individual players out as none of them performed.

 

Agreed....Swansea were quite fortunate to go in 1 up at half time....not a single attempt until 45 plus 1. Had any of the three decent chances we had in the first half gone in it could have been a different game. Fair play to Swansea after half time, they were mature..and played a compliant ref very well

 

Was impressed with our manager today tbh .
Didn’t go all Warnocky about the decisions (offside , penalty ) etc took them on the chin and made a statement they we should have dealt with the situation bettter and we’ll learn .
Warnock, Pullis etc. would’ve been chasing the officials with a butchers knife as they’re excuses for not winning .
