.....opinions eh. Norwich and Bournemouth to go up. By far the best we've played this season. if we made the play offs (!!!!!) i'd fancy us to beat Swansea. they're just not very good.
he wasn't, Woodrow's about 4-5 yards behind running towards their goal. A square pass and he's 1-on-1 with their keeper.
Glad I'm not the only one that thought thatl And looking at the photo a defender could have cut out that pass.
The shots already been taken in that picture and he’s still behind the play. If he lays the ball off, Woodrow needs to win a 50/50 challenge to get to the ball first IMO. Maybe if victors initial control was better he’d have had a better chance of playing him in though
After mi initial disappointment ah ad to remind myself that were waaaay in front of our expectations at the start if the season...but like all true supporters we see some possible glory so we want to chase it..most posters on here 3 months ago saying mid table mediocrity..bring it on (me included) ..just needed to remind misen of that....COYR
I think we're playing plan b as plan a - due to plan a's failure. I can't believe this is the way the board intended us to play when recruiting Stendel and Struber. Something has changed. Are we adopting this vertical style throughout the youth teams? I really hope not.
Agreed. I'm happy just to be in the championship not battling relegation. Our academy appears to be going well too, which gives me hope for the future.
Chaplin was so unlucky a foot either side his shot is in ,we just did not have the luck, we had the Sky curse, so the ugly bug ball crew in sky studio could take the pee
we have not got the players yet to compete, big Val just trying to keep us up, we got lucky last year, I do not want to be passing and moving into Division 1, everyone skint in that division half be out of business next year
And the monkey on our back that is Swansea, since that play off final win in 2006 we just can't beat them!
Its strange how we really struggle against certain teams for years on end but not others but there seems to be more in Championship.
The quality of mercy is not straind. It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest: It blesseth him that gives and him that takes. 'Tis mightiest in the mightiest; it becomes The thronèd monarch better than his crown. His scepter shows the force of temporal power, The attribute to awe and majesty Wherein doth sit the dread and fear of kings; But mercy is above this sceptered sway. It is enthronèd in the hearts of kings; It is an attribute to God Himself; And earthly power doth then show likest God's When mercy seasons justice. Therefore, Jew, Though justice be thy plea, consider this: That in the course of justice none of us Should see salvation. We do pray for mercy, And that same prayer doth teach us all to render The deeds of mercy. I have spoke thus much To mitigate the justice of thy plea, Which, if thou follow, this strict court of Venice Must needs give sentence 'gainst the merchant there.
Fine margins lost us that game. Had Victor converted his chance just before HT, had we been awarded penalty for what was clear handball, had Britain scored, arguably both their goals could have been chalked off. We (team with lowest budget in the league) competed and against a very experienced side with big budget tipped for automatic promotion. We pressed them, worked hard and played direct game. I fear had we attempted to out football them, the old "men against boys" comment would return. Remember this is a Swansea side who have conceded 13 goals in 24 games. Personally I am enjoying our direct style play. More so because it has been effective to get us to top half of table rather than in or around bottom three. Defence and midfield have played well. Our biggest weakness are in attack, Woodrow has done well but others need to find shooting boots and chip in with goals. Morris looks to be decent addition and keen to see how he develops, Victor has done well. Would like to see at least one more come in to support our attack, ideally with pace who like to get into the box.
