Arm out at full stretch in the box and he handled it so it's a blatant penalty that we cannot complain about.
I am saying its not a penalty. Regardless of the people writing rules or not. A rule is only a good thing when it serves a purpose. As it stands a deflection to a hand that otherwise would not have been struck cannot be deemed a penalty. The rules are written poorly as I said by a person whom as little football knowledge.
Personally I think the rule that says the opposition is allowed 11 players is wrong therefore we are to be awarded the win as Watford have fielded too many players.
Except for the above offences, it is not an offence if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm: directly from the player’s own head or body (including the foot) directly from the head or body (including the foot) of another player who is close if the hand/arm is close to the body and does not make the body unnaturally bigger
Surely, if you're pointing at something, the natural position for your hand to be in is in the direction of the thing you're pointing at. If he was pointing at the ground, admittedly, that would be down by your side, but if you're pointing "over there" then the natural position for your hand would be in the direction of "over there". I get that if the ball hits you directly while pointing "over there" then it's a penalty, you've blocked the cross/shot. But if it bounces up off your hip, I have no idea what a natural position for your hand is supposed to be. The natural position of my hand is usual around a pint of beer, so I'd need one of those when playing football in order to not give a penalty away.
No it came directly off his own foot here is the rule. Except for the above offences, it is not an offence if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm: directly from the player’s own head or body (including the foot) directly from the head or body (including the foot) of another player who is close if the hand/arm is close to the body and does not make the body unnaturally bigger
Agree to disagree on this one..otherwise they arnt really better than us but like Swansea were still not converting good play into clear chances......
You could be pointing at your mate to mark someone, while Mads Andersen slices a clearance against Woodrow's arse which bounces back and hits your arm and that would be a pen. At a common sense level it's carp, but it is a pen.
