Losing 1 nil away at Watford.

That's how far we have come

Make no mistake Watford had to work chuffin hard to get 3 points then

    Nothing else to say

Got to agree we worked our nuts off and the commitment was there but in reality we never layed a glove on them when it came to looking like scoring.

Massive progress in 12 months though. Onward and upwards

Agree and hopefully in another 12 months we will have that bit more quality to beat the top teams

Where’s the next goal coming from? We gave them a hard time, but didn’t look like scoring.

Our last 3 games have been against the top 3 havent they?

    We will score.

This year, we are beating teams around and below us.

    I'll take that

At least we stayed in the game. If we lose every game 1-0 or 0-1 it will be an achievement because we'll be in League 1 but at least we'll have stayed in the games. It's the sort of improvement that turns heads and makes you think Hull City Jared Bowen who is he? With that level of improvement we could be Northern Premier Champions in a matter of seasons but at least we'll have an open top bus, some bunting and a trophy :D :D

That’s the problem. We’ve a good solid shape, put maximum effort in and play tidy enough football at times. The main problem is we mostly create didly squat, especially against the better sides.
We’ve made great progress this season but need some extra quality in final third and a plan B from big Val when we’re chasing a game.
We hopefully have enough to stay clear of the bottom pack but we need to arrest this bad run quickly.

That’s how I saw it especially the second half. I just wish we would at least work the keepers a little bit more. We were so unlucky with the penalty. I understand why it’s given, but he was simply pointing to his team mate and at the exact same time the ball bounces off his thigh into his arm.

Both our wingbacks were shocking today from an offensive point of view they didn’t put a decent ball into the box all night and don’t get me started on Kane’s corner with five minutes to go absolute gash.

Sorry I have to disagree there was one decent cross from Mowatt where their defender tried his best to score. But yes the rest of the attempts to cross a ball to our strikers were very poor.

    This.
From what I saw, our best chance
And as for people saying their penalty was unlucky cos he was pointing to a teammate.....really? Looks more like he was pointing to the stand. That said, even if he was, it’s something you just don’t do in the penalty area.

we move on. Losing to Norwich and Watford away, by the odd goal is a massive step up on pre COVID times.

I’ve seen many a defender pointing in the penalty area it’s part of communicating. John Stones for example is always pointing. It was just unlucky that’s all

I seem to remember 3 decent crosses, one from Brittain, that nobody was close to getting on the end of, despite having 3 in the box.

If we did end up selling, say, Styles in the summer for, let's say around £10 million (optimistic, but could be another player), would we then invest that same amount in an established, championship quality striker with a proven goalscoring records at this, or equivalent level? I would think that would be worth the deal and would strengthen us to make a play-off push next season. Worth it? The board need to hold out for the sort of money we would need to bring in someone of that quality.
