Hope he's sacked tomorrow as it would mean we are home to Luton for a quarter final place.

Luton could turn them over and that will be him gone. Then it's revenge time for us

Sounds like he's already got the sack. Maybe Avram Grant fancies another defeat at Oakwell?

I don't think consistently sacking managers when you have billionaire clubs and owners at the top end of the Premier League is the way to go. Owners at that level need to accept that there is only the League, League Cup, F.A Cup, Champions League and Uefa Europa League to win. Here in lies the problem. You have Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton and only five trophies. Somebody is going to miss out. The sooner these owners accept this the better. I'm sick of hearing about the needs of supporters who follow these clubs being hard done by just because they finished 6th and without a trophy.

Like kids aren't they chucking toy out of the pram. Then when they do player teams like Luton or Barnsley and lower down they patronise the hell out of us and say that "you did your best" cr@p like that. Monday morning rant over though hey

First Cardiff sack their manager now Chelsea, I think clubs are starting to panic at the prospect of facing us. :D

T b f those clubs are the only clubs chasing the first three of the mentioned trophies but there’s a lot more chasing the latter two .
Trouble is the domestic trophies apart from league title are immaterial imo to these top clubs , maybe the FA cup at a pinch but if these clubs don’t win a champions league place they regard the season a failure which is bonkers imo .

I agree with the level of competition times have changed and looking back at a career and saying "well we finished in the top four and I won the golden boot a few times" has to be seen as an achievement because there is a likelihood that if everyone is on form you might not win a trophy. It isn't like 25 years ago when Man Utd swept the boards because everyone else was garbage.

Looking back at my original post it seems I was a bit premature. Nothing new there.

There's probably a good career (and more family friendly) waiting for him in the media. I think he'd be good at punditry although he doesn't tick any diversity boxes so he's unlikely to work for the BBC.

OK I'll bite. The BBC won't employ any ex top footballer and manager white males to comment on football!?

Let's hope that Chelsea don't get the "new manager bounce/honeymoon" when they play us, that would just be our luck. PS I might post this on the Chelsea fans blog site!
