I have uploaded photos from my iphone to my pc.

These are now shown as HEIC files and won't open on the PC.

I've tried free converters and they seem to be rubbish only allowing one photo at a time to be converted to jpeg.

I've hundreds of photos that I'd like to move.

Don't mind paying for something that can convert bulk photos quickly.

    I'm running Windows 10.

    Many thanks

    Dave

You can change it in settings or you can download a free converter.

Open the Settings app and tap Photos. Scroll down to the bottom option, headed 'Transfer to Mac or PC'. You can choose either Automatic or Keep Originals. If you choose Automatic, iOS will convert to a compatible format, ie Jpeg.5 Mar 2019

That's off the net , sonit on ya phone first then transfer to pc again them they should be in JPEG format

    Thanks so much everyone.

Turns out I could change it in settings, I've been looking on the interweb and nothing intelligible, come on here and done in a jiffy.

    Much appreciated.

It's far from perfect but when I have to deal with my sons iPad it never makes me want to switch to Apple.
