Again ‘homeless’ is a broad and often misunderstood term.
At one end it’s employed people who are totally engaged with society/government and possibly working too, at the other are people living on the streets with no bank acct and no interaction with any government department or support service, and all kinds of situations in between.

it ought to be obvious that it’s sadly impossible for the government to track down and give money to people living on the street with no support mechanism.

I’ve a mate in Barnsley* who got the first one as a cheque in the post.

*the qualifying criteria being that he’d been a US taxpayer in 2018/19

Yep there’s at least 2 democrats that have publicly expressed their support to keep the filibuster, essentially meaning to pass the senate bills will need 60/100 senators. A big blow, however as soon as the republicans filibuster on a bill that’s important to those 2 senators they may well change their minds.

It's a big blow if the party of your choice is in power and you want them to roll out all their policies. I actually think regardless of who is in power, 60/100 is fair. It might slow things down and make it difficult to pass specific legislation, but it should also mean that no one party can just rail road their own ideologies through.

Well it’s a popular role, so it needs a strong sift criteria. :p

The covid death rate shows no signs of slowing down for them. It didn't look good when Biden was having a go at a journalist no sooner had he got in office. 100 million vaccines in 100 days is nothing to them. If he matches it he will be widely praised for being successful with the policy even though it was already heading that way under Trump. He should be look to increase it by a lot more. Also I remember how much stick Trump got for not dealing with this situation, so we shall see if Biden is any better at getting justice for his family.....

It was heading no where near under Trump!! he didn’t even have a policy it was low priority to him.
The only immediate policy Trump had was his re election .
And if Biden reached the goal he should be widely praised as they were planning all this whilst still in transition and under resistance and lack of assistance from the numpties regime .
I’m sure in the coming year’s there’ll be plenty to kick this administration but this isn’t one of them .

    Does it matter?

It’s quite easy to ignore a single thread. It hasn’t changed name and the name isn’t exactly disguising the content.

I saw one of the new people in charge of the vaccination programme being interviewed on Fox yesterday. She didnt even know, on assuming the role, where the supplies of vaccine were or how much there even was.
Pence was supposed to have been overseeing all this. It seems he and Trump had done what we all knew...next to f**k all.

That's a shame as I thought and hoped Biden would have dealt with it differently than Trump.

    Structural Engineers Report – January 29, 2021

    To whom it may concern

After carrying out a full structural survey of this site, we regret to inform you that the foundations are no longer capable of supporting a thread such as this.

We estimate that 2 more pages will compromise the entire structure of the board with potentially catastrophic consequences. We therefore recommend this thread is closed immediately and cordoned off with some of that stripy tape.

    Think on.

This isn't true mate. When Biden announced his target for 100 million doses the US had already hit 980,000 doses and were accelerating. I'm repeating myself, but they currently cater for over 30% of global vaccinations so whilst there's always room to do better on this particular one they're not doing badly.

It's also worth looking at state by state performance. I've got a couple of friends in PA, the 46th worst performing, and they're making an absolute mess of it. New York and CA wasting 400,000+ vaccines and spinning it that they need more (they probably do by the way - but you wouldn't need them as quickly if you weren't wasting them). Still can't get my head around the fines that the latter two states brought in for anyone found to be administering a vaccine to someone not in Priority Group 1. I mean I get it, stopping rich people forcing their way to the front, but you can only adopt that if you're using all the ones you have.

But the efforts were state led not federal , Trump was too up his own rectum to Devise a strategy .
