What’s happened to the flowing football we have shown in the past we can play? Like watching kids in the playground again today kick it up field as far as you can and all run after it.
Getting tired of seeing it. Aimless high balls belted down the pitch towards the forwards with their back to the goal. Forest then sweep up.
God almighty!! This is so hard to watch. Don’t think we’ve won a high ball for 20 minutes. And there’s been a lot!!
There's not liking it but accepting it when it brings 3 points although I think it has got worse the last few games. Before Christmas we were still trying to play good football and scoring good goals like at Hillsborough for example.
The long stuff is ok if it works as intended, by getting us further up the pitch and creating from there. Today it was hardly going to work with Woodrow and two little ones up top. You can’t not accept it when it works, it’s getting us closer to safety and it does yield the odd good moments of decent football and creativity - today wasn’t a day when it worked.
Surely if your playing any strategy, you have to play the players that are most suited to it, as you say , how can you play the long ball tactics with your most physical players sat on the bench, horses for courses...
Head scratcher isn’t it? You’re sat watching us pump the ball forward and the taller strikers are also sat watching while 2 small blokes run around in hope of having a touch.
