is that when fans are allowed back will we really have to endure watching hoofball every week? Is that what we will be paying for?
Some of us uneducated ones don't believe we play 'hoof ball' and irrespective of how often that phrase is repeated doesn't make it more accurate or true, in my opinion.
Football is a entertainment business. I hope this is taken in to account in a few months when they want people to part with hundreds of pounds.
So you don't like the way we now play football then? You didn't like Struber's efforts either. Despite his games to points tally being mid table respectable. You don't like it when we get points. You don't like it when we play from the back. What exactly do you like to watch down the Well in The Championship? As far as paying is concerned, I seem to remember that you are one of those who are quite willing to pull the plug on the club and withdraw financial support if they don't like what they're seeing. So don't pay, and find summat else to do. Then you won't be paying for it. I'll go and watch hoofball, and complain a bit. I'll complain more if we keep playing hoofball and end up getting relegated. I hope we'll stop playing hoofball and keep on getting points.
Why not show a little patience, as I’ve said elsewhere, let’s reach points safety target any which way we can first. Then the relaxed situation may well lend itself to producing better football
Well considering I've had a season ticket for over a quarter of a century I'd say you're quite wrong there
Some of us uneducated ones don't believe we play 'hoof ball' and irrespective of how often that phrase is repeated doesn't make it more accurate or true, in my opinion. I'd have preferred it had you argued the point about me being uneducated, old mate!
How would you describe it biglil? Ball goes long and high from defence to attack. It's not every week because the Norwich game was wonderful football from us but quite often it really does just go long and high constantly with the midfield bypassed
No I think the term used by VI is vertical football and the tactic is one of the defenders kicks the ball as far as he can into the opposition half and the attackers chase after it and hope an opposition player gives it them back our problem is it's no longer a surprise to the opposition that we play that way now so they set up better and consequently we are struggling to score..
The constant criticism Struber got for playing football out from the back destroying Andersons confidence with the majority booing to get the ball forward quicker now we are doing that more moaning. Its not hoof ball its a style of playing that suits the players we have to keep us in the league. I love 442 with 2 wingers a creative CM and a grafting CM with a good big un partnered with a skillfull littler one up top. A big centre half who wins all the headers and the other centre half who is calm on ball. With 2 fit full backs and a 6ft 4 goalkeeper. We havent got many of them type of players so no 442. Val needs 3 years to build his team how he wants it but may never have the budget to play like liverpool or man city. Just enjoy watching us develop and hopefully not being in a relegation dog fight. Best example is Ipswich wanting Mick gone they went from a decent chsmpionship side to a poor league 1 side quite quickly.
I'm saying I see our team mixing it up. Some of our goals under Valerien have resulted from wonderful free flowing football. Also, we're less likely to play it amongst our defenders, keeping possession but inviting the opposition onto us, losing the ball and conceeding. Calling us a hoof ball team is part and parcel of the same mantra that insisted Conor Hourihane couldn't play in the centre of midfield, nor was he capable of playing in the same team as Sam Winnall. It gets repeated often, therefore it must be true. I'm not claiming we don't play long balls at time, but we also play some wonderful quick, flowing, passing football, too. Hoof ball teams don't do that, in my opinion. Other viewpoints are available and even if they are different to mine, are just as valid.
