He played in a International friendly on the 31st in US,earliest he arrived in UK today, 2nd Feb. I imagine he has to isolate for at least 7 days and test negative.
Isn’t there special allowances for professional athletes? Haven’t even seen it fully confirmed that we’ve got international clearance but assume, somehow, that’s a formality seen as though we announced the signing.
Read somewhere that his appearance for the national team meant he met the criteria for international clearance
I don’t think the new Chelsea manager had to isolate Loco,it seemed he was into the job fairly quickly.
Well if you take off jet lag, isolation, upset tummy, and the number of times he has to insist to the authorities that he's pronounced Deekay, then add on the fact he's coming to sign for Barnsley and not Burnley which leaves everybody helpless with laughter, also add on the fact that we are definitely not Man Utd, Liverpool, Spurs etc who get special next-day clearance .... then probably three or four. By which time his bags are already packed for a swift getaway from that goddam awful pit village.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't (and shouldn't) move from bubble to bubble; a bubble is a bubble, and should remain so. For me, he shouldn't play on Saturday.
Sportsmen, cricketers in particular, have been moving from bubble to bubble since the summer season started. It's all down to testing protocols required to enter a new bubble. That said, would've thought VI would want to a good look at him in training before picking him, and he might be waiting for a flight / isolating this week. He could be like that player that told Graeme Souness that he was George Weah's cousin otherwise.
