It doesn't matter how good (or bad!) you may think you are, there's always someone who is younger and better. I think I ought to leave town.
Indianna Jones and the Last Crusade. What I didn't get was they both drank from the cup of Christ and should have been immortal but in The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull his Dad is dead.
And speaking of the Last Crusade film. That last part was filmed in Petra, Jordan with "The Treasury" acting as the entrance after following a long narrow winding passage (which actually runs for a mile or more) called the sique. The Treasury has a carved door opening, but there is nothing behind it, its just hollowed out of the natural rock face. And thats where I proposed to my other half back in 2013. A clear night, with the Treasury lit by thousands of candles and a backdrop of bedouin music. She still hasn't technically said yes mind you!
Yeah it wasn't their first game. I really liked those 2. Remember that 3-0 win over Hull at home - didn't they get joint MOTM and score 3 between them? Not sure Rajczi was quite up to it but they just played great together for that spell. Get the Hungarian flag back up in the Ponty!
can remember when Ferenczi came back for a friendly against I think it was Ferencvaros . As soon as he came out of the tunnel he was smiling and waving to the fans very enthusiastically and again after the match . I think his chant from the fans whilst he was with us was. Who’s that coming over the hill it’s Forenczi , Istvan Forenczi . Loved him as a Collier/Tyke he always gave everything imo .
OK, you've all scrambled my brains regarding Wayne Biggins with this..... We signed him from Stoke, he scored on his full debut, in a 1-2 defeat at Filbert Street, 3 October 1992. He then scored 2 on his home debut the week after in a 3-0 defeat of Luton Town. Celtic bought him in 1993, but can't remember when. His last game for us was home to Palace 20 November 1993
Tony Cunningham away at Newcastle I think & I seem to remember Andy Payton scoring on his debut but I cannot for the life of me remember who against .
I don't think that's right. That was Biggins home debut, he'd already scored the week before in an away game somewhere, that we lost. Ah, just seen someone's already set the record straight.
Mick McCarthy vs Chesterfield in the Cup, 1977 John Stones on his first start vs Rochdale? Tony Cunningham didn’t score vs Newcastle but did score on his home debut vs Fulham
Cunningham didn't score on his debut. Payton's debut was a 1-1 home draw with Bolton and our scorer was Chris Jackson.
Paul Reid, August 2004, in a 1-1 draw at MK Dons on the opening day of the 2004/05 season. Paul Hayes, August 2005, in a 2-0 home win over Swindon Town on the opening day of the 2005/06 season. Steve Cooper, August 1988, in a 1-1 draw at Oldham Athletic on the opening day of the 1988/89 season.
I bow to your knowledge as I normally get mixed up but out of curiosity who did Cunningham make his debut against ?
