    I just received an email telling me to make arrangements for my covid jag.
    I filled in the request name address DoB all the usual then it asked for credit card details to pay a £5 booking fee. Aye right!
    Total scam but like most looks quite gen at first.
    So please all be aware

    The perpetrators of things like this should get ten years minmum. It's absolutely inexcusable.

    It’s in the hands of the police now. They said they would actively chase it up. Not been the only one they are dealing with.

    Always worth checking the sender address - a hotmail one doesnt look very genuine - Not sure what the actual process is My Dad got a phone call to book him in - worth emphasizing the genuine vaccination process will never ask for money or even card details

    But as others have said the perpetrators of this need to be hit very hard by the law

    Thanks for bringing this to people's attention Ian. Scams like this are never nice at the best of times, but to prey on elderly and vulnerable people at these times - when just looking forward to getting vaccinated - is just downright deplorable

    It just looked so genuine like booking an appointment. Only when it asked for £5 to secure the appointment alarm bells started to ring.
    I got In touch with police who took note of it and said someone will be phoning me about it.

    I think scammers are pretty low in the food chain. But “COVID vaccine” scammers take it to a whole new, basement level!

    Exactly mate and this one was particularly stupid.
    I mean trying to get a 5er out of a Scotsman.
    More chance of discovering a cure for covid
