yes mate, came out late 70’s post punk. I’d heard the name many times and sort of saw them once from afar but never invested any time, have done today, they are on in Pompey covid permitting in November so will grab a ticket

Sky Arts is available on freeview - channel 11. I've recorded it but they usually repeat stuff later in the week.

They’re part of my music heritage mate, close links to the Dave Kusworth band, with TV Eye, Subterranean Hawks etc from the post punk Brumbeat scene. Paul Wadd is a proper nerd for all that, knows more about my career than I do.
I saw Duff at Dave’s funeral in October, Odd fella, have known him a long time. Rob Lloyd was there too, & Stewart Lee was quoted in the eulogy, put together by Dave Twist..
Nightingales are legends in Brum, looking forward to seeing the doc .:)

It was excellent, as anything involving Stewart Lee generally is.

Have you seen Teenage Superstars on Sky Arts - about the Glasgow/Belshill scene that spawned BMX Bandits, Vaselines, Primal Scream etc.

Really excellent to see how they fit in with the Seattle grunge scene.
