In secondary school there was a girl in my year called Ruth Laikin. Whenever the teacher did the register and said her name one or two used to look up to the ceiling and ask "where abouts miss?"
I went to school with a lass called Pat Mycock. Bet she was quite relieved in later life when she became Mrs Pat Cleary.
Straight up, when I was a kid we had a neighbour called Mary Christmas And her maiden name was White!
Used to deliver to Woolies in Ponte, Supervisor there had a lovely badge pinned to her overall that read Pat Daily
Backnin the black and white days i recall a radio station called Atlantic 252. Always remember 2 of the presenters names Robin Banks Dusty Rhodes.
