I am not a Mowatt fan at all. However, he was the best Barnsley player on the ball tonight. He gave himself time and rarely played a bad pass. well played
I wasn’t always a Mowatt fan tbh, but I think this season he’s played well. If only he could add goals to his game.
That’s the only negative tonight for me. He’s all but secured a move away in the summer. He was incredible tonight. I’m gutted he’s probably going to be leaving us, but the lad has done it the hard way. Shipped out by Hecky to Oxford, was below par for them. Came back worked his socks off and rightly so cemented himself as a championship captain. Like I say I’m gutted it’s unlikely he’ll be with us, but he’s fully earned that big money move he’s going to get in the summer.
That's the Mowatt I've been watching for the last three years. Very surprised to read someone say they're not a fan. By far our best player in my opinion.
I agree thought he played well tonight, as did all the lads to be fair. Don't think we saw the best of Woodrow or styles tho.
Mowatt is great. Been consistently our best player for the last 3 years. Will be gutted when (if?) he leaves. But will not hold a grudge, owes us nothing.
Been a top player who is getting to his prime and would love him to stay with us but it’s obvious he wants a crack at a let’s say a more ambitious club.
Just shows what can be achieved with patience, any new player following in his footsteps would be written off after 6 months!!! Step forward Herbie Kane
And the clubs with the ambition always offer the most money Mowatt knows that his next contract can make him for life and we all know unfortunately that he won’t get that contract at Barnsley.
I am a fan! He’s been one of our best players for a long time now. Hope he stays but if he has to go for a better ‘pay day’ then he goes with my thanks and best wishes. He doesn’t owe us anything.
