But at the risk of stating the bleeding obvious we really have to find a consistent way of putting the ball in the bloody net
I think the issue is that’s what costs money. I’m happy our attacking option are giving 100%. If we can keep clean sheets that is what will win us games.
It shows we ain’t far off . Good manager and team , just need a bit more quality which takes time or money
Personally I think you could put a proven goal scorer in this team and they would still probably struggle to score goals because of how we play in the final third. All too often we just punt it into the box and hope something falls. Although they all press really well, none of our forward line are suited to our style of play with the ball.
We can’t seem to score from the decent (very little) chances we create. Everything else is just a half chance and a hopeful punt. Been a while now since we won a game comfortably. Obviously tonight is not one to be overly worried about but it’s mirroring a lot of our recent performances against inferior opposition too.
Completely agree. I feel for Woodrow in this system. It can’t be that enjoyable for players. Run yourself into the ground, keep the ball off the floor, battle for scraps and hope something drops. It’s like putting a Bentley in a stock car race.
