Can’t remember the last time at the end of a half there was no added time. Surely a sign he let them play.
Ref did well We expected the worst. Fair enough, it should have been a pen, but not a single person other than abraham complained. It was only a the replay that showed it, and again only from a certain angle. So fair play, we have to accept that refs at times do have good games
What helped the ref was two teams that played the game very fairly. If there was any diving or play acting or back chatting to the referee or cynical fouls, I didn't see them. Strange in this day and age. Credit to both
Missed the penalty he should have gave them, didn't book anyone and let the game flow. Far better than the refs we usually get.
He did well. It was good to see how fairly Chelsea played. No theatrics, falling over etc - something that you now see pretty much every week in the championship, I dunno, perhaps they felt they didn’t need to
Interestingly, in his post-match interview, Abrahams said it was a good tackle and no pen..... Though he did say the later tussle with Mads was a pen. Which it wasn’t.
Credit where it's due Martin Atkinson was good tonight, a class above what we usually get and I was convinced that he would give them everything. Well done sir

I know Martin from my local gym and he's a top bloke, very grounded and always happy to chat, I was pleased for him and thought he had a great game. Just a shame he's a massive Leeds fan !!
