Saying how brilliant Barnsley were last night. Not just Barnsley fans, fans of all the local sides.
Think we surprised a few people.

Listening to it and yes, nothing but praise. Nice to hear other fans saying what they are saying. We do know though that if we had been playing one of their teams the praise might not have been coming, especially had it been S6 fans calling in!

I didn't think we were that good actually.

What I mean is I don't think it was a special performance like we've seen in the past, it was just a typical Barnsley performance this season. Which is a compliment to the team

Get what your saying. We have been like that more or less all season. So we are used to it.

Just makes it special that we can impose the same standard against a very superior team of players.

Would have been a great atmosphere down at oakwell under the lights, can't beat night games.

I thought very similar to this myself. It wasn't the kind of cup-tie performance where you would say that we really raised our game, instead it was the kind of performance which we have got used to seeing this season. Therefore given the amount of praise that we are getting from neutrals and the media, it really does give us confidence that we are on the right track.

Absolutely, Man City in the League Cup being one that immediately springs to mind.

The problem is... the shop window is now well and truly lit.... it has massive crowds outside all looking in. The manager and players shone out against the multi million pound team and made them look ordinary...

Makes you wonder how hot the phone was today..,, and a little worried.

They even got Shearer to advertise a possible fire sale in the summer...

It's a good point you make. However we have sorted our back line out compared to this time last year.

A year ago, we were talking about how we were giving every team a 2 goal head start. Whilst the lack of goals isn't ideal, if we're only conceding 0's and 1's in a game, we're giving ourselves half a chance of getting something from it.

In the same time frame you describe, we've only conceded more than 2, 3 times.
