One of the guys at work was talking to his dad yesterday. I work over in Leeds and his dad has a joinery business. Was doing a renovation over in Morley. Got chatting about his son and about Leeds Utd and how he got released from them a few years back. They actually came back in for him the same time as us and his dad told them to do one! He said he used to support them and doesn’t anymore due to the poor treatment of his son I’m hoping we’ve unearthed another gem because he’s highly thought of. Looking forward to seeing him finally play - let’s hope he does as well as the two Callum’s!
I’d completely forgotten about Kitching. He’ll have to be a bit special, as even Sollbauer can’t get into the starting XI at the moment, and he’s been brilliant since joining.
He’s in direct competition with Andersen for that left of the three spot. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him get a chance if he’s fit between now and the next international break. Helik needed a rest earlier in the season, would be surprising if neither Helik or Andersen need a rest in this run of games.
It is how we work though and when we do sell a CB it's good planning on the club's behalf to have a young prospect that has been given time to settle in without too much pressure on him. Styles certainly benefited from this approach.
Not sure. Young lad listening to his dad I suppose. All I know is his dads not happy with how his lad got binned off, with no advice, no guidance. Just left to pick up the pieces
Massively undervaluing our players there. Madds is going for £5 million minimum and Helik won’t leave within 12 months as he hasn’t hit his optimum value yet so no benefit in selling.
Anyone know how long he's expected to be out for? I got the impression from Val that he's going to be sidelined for quite a while, which is frustrating.
I’ve no doubt we’ll sell a player that plays regularly in the summer. We’ll probably have to sell one a year. I’m hopeful we won’t sell both Helik and Andersen though. Selling one of them would be understandable though, assuming the right offer comes in.
I've known Neil (Liam's dad) for donkeys years as played football with him at Harrogate Railway. He's a big lad with hands like shovels. If he told Leeds to do one, they won't have needed telling twice
