    From their forum.
"I say it every week, but EFL refs are some of the worst in professional football. Barnsley probably should have had 3 players sent off for a combination of consistent fouling and time wasting. You can’t blame Barnsley, it worked and why try and play and end up struggling like they did a few seasons ago? Until the reffing standards improve these types of teams will always be able to hold their own without much football being played"

sad losers, we outplayed them and didn't get many decisions in our favour from the ref.

His team has just been footballed off the park and he comes up with that?
The ref was a homer, Brentford resorted to cheating when it became apparent to them that they were playing a far fitter and more ambitious team.
Brentford were beaten like a ginger step kid.

Guessing they overlooked everything Ivan Toney got away with until the 95th minute today then? ‍♂️

A bit of sour grapes is that, nothing more nothing less, just watched Highlights, we were far superior all over the pitch. looking forward to the match day Re-Cap.

Can't get my head round that. The only Reds player you could remotely accuse of time wasting was Collins, but they caused that by putting a player in front of him whenever he had the ball in his hands.

Some very positive comments on us, from their lot.
Magical( Barnsley fan) Got it spot on re tactics, telling em how we played and when subs would be introduced. and they thought we couldn’t keep the tempo up. Even with the subs.
Pinnock has had more adverse comments in one game. ( today) Than laid against him the entire time he was with us.

To be fair, it was a penalty BUT, Toney was lucky to stay on the pitch after that challenge on Palmer, and I'd like to see the offside again for the Pinnock OG. AT the end of it we imposed our game on them brilliantly, and they couldn't handle it. Brilliant by the Reds.

The amusing part of this is that he wasn't an 'EFL ref'. He's a professional Premier League and Fifa listed ref so in theory should have been decent. He was that bad he reminded me of George Courtney.

    Me an all

And teams who should have done their research still seem shocked by it.

And that we’ll put fresh attackers on even when we’re winning.

The one about timewasting at 0-0, when we were all over them! Prescious.

I don't know what anyone could do about it. It's a new way of playing football. We're the best in the world at doing this right now. It hasn't quite worked in the last few weeks, but it's got very close. We really should have beaten Chelsea by playing this way at which point it would have entered the public consciousness. It didn't quite happen (probably for the best for us). However, we did beat Brentford today, who are a superb team, by playing this way, AT A CANTER. We will destroy teams in the next few games by playing this way. But right now, opposition coaching staff don't know what to do, and we are red hot. Our team of 'put together on a shoestring' would beat international sides. With plenty of room to spare. They genuinely would.
