March 8th: Golf/Tennis / beer gardens max 2 households Mid April: Gym / non essential retail May: Cinemas/Theatre/Indoor Pubs/Restaurants. August: Foreign holidays/Nightclubs... Don’t shoot the messenger!
Driven by data not dates, here’s the dates for reopening. Is this not somewhat contradictory? But then again this administration has been utterly useless.
If there's a beer garden open in March I'll be sat smack bang in the middle of that . Big coit woollen hat, I don't give a **** I'm in there.
Seen a direct email from a massive brewery....... What a load of ******. Open but only outside trade....... so no compensation as they're allowed to 'trade'. Complete load of sh17e. Let's open hairdressers who can't cut hair. It's ******. Complete shambles. Looking after the big boys. Pockets lined and the masons handshake will be going up and down faster than a prostitutes knickers.
There's a small brewery near me that opened a beer garden last summer, I'll certainly drop in for one if they open again in march .
it wasn’t a bad spring that’s true. I’m not quite sure the pub landlords will be expecting record crowds however
A lot of pubs won't open back up as most people won't want to sit in the cold of March or spring showers in April. Many will wait until customers can sit inside. It will be interesting to see if we get a timeframe for scrapping masks and social distancing.
Well done Boris. It didn't take long for you to relax something which can't be regulated. Landlords won't have a clue how many households are together. Edit: The version of the leak I've seen is outdoor pubs in April.
Chris Soley speaks a lot of sense with his tweets on the subject if you click on his tweet to read his others. Hospitality is a huge industry and it's being hung out to dry. Zero covid isn't possible and the nation have to accept covid deaths for years to come. I don't see how nightclubs can open in August unless they get exemption from rules as I don't think this government want to scrap masks or social distancing. I think the scientists have the ministers in their pocket.
