I can't see an equivalent post on here as yet, but I'd hope that no-one would think to apply pressure on the club regarding this following yesterday's announcement effectively now ruling out a return to Oakwell this season.

The terms of the ST deal were always very clear that this was a stated risk with the offering we got for this season, and was effectively reflected in the discounted price. There was a brief period of time where it looked like we might have returned to Oakwell in October/November, but that quickly evaporated. However, it's not BFC's fault that external circumstances have prevented us returning.

The club is operating in compromised financial circumstances, and it seems very unfair to expect them to do anything other than honour the terms of this season's deal in whatever circumstances ultimately prevailed. Personally, I feel like I've got decent value out of the iFollow coverage that has been available, and it has incentivised me to use it far more than I might have done if I was picking and choosing games for £10 each. Watching a competitive team has also helped the situation.

Seeing the post in question has irritated me to an extent, as I really don't want there to be any meaningful groundswell of opinion that the club should be doing anything at all to 'rectify' this. I've had plenty of opportunity to question the actions and motivations of those running BFC over the last year or two, but the season ticket offering isn't one of them. With the benefit of hindsight, and based on snippets I've picked up from other clubs over the course of the season, we got one of the most open, transparent and reasonable ST offerings at the time. I think it would reflect badly on us as supporters if we sought to change this now, simply because we've finally got clarity on the chances of seeing games in person.

I agree and I'm twice as more likely to invest in a season ticket next season as a result.

I've spent the best part of £300 so far this season watching on a match-by-match basis, and that'll be somewhere in the region of £450 once it's over. Arguably £10 is overpriced to watch a game, but given that's what it costs season ticket holders have still got a pretty good deal.

Just hope those that could not afford one this season and/ or next season for the first time are not going to lose out in future when it comes to continuous support for the O.A.P. discount at 60.

    Unprecedented times and all that.

Bought my season ticket this year fully aware I may not get to go at all. It was always a risk, I wouldn't dream of asking for a refund. What I will say is some people may be in a financial mess and the refund could help them out a lot.

True - what do season ticket holders get? Is it all home and midweek away?

People knew those risks when they bought the season ticket. I don't think they should get a refund.

Only if you paid a bit extra for the Reserved+ season ticket. Basic ST holders get home games only.

I won't be asking for a refund. The club are not to blame for fans not being allowed to go. The price we got charged was reasonable within the circumstances we were buying in. Let's bash them for something they do have control over which is what order tickets will be sold for the first away game of next season :D

It was made crystal clear by the club that the reduced price was on the basis of only gaining entry as and when it was allowed by the Government.

Anyone with a brain cell could see that wasn't going to happen this season.

Club need to get them on sale now same price as last season and give a lot of skint folk 6 months to pay for them, no fannying about with early bird or price increase after a certain date plus would help club with cash flow.

As a complementary season ticket holder, I’m really looking forward to my refund of £0.

There'll no doubt be some people who think the club should hand out refunds and also think we should get the chequebook out for new players and never sell anyone.

As I posted yesterday they should go cheaper say £200 quid less than £9 a game. One price fits all so if you buy this month or July (if any are left to sell hopefully full west stand as well) it's the same price. If you pay in full or 30 odd quid a month for six months it's the same price.

Yes the club would be gambling on around 17000 people selling out completely three stands to make up for the lower price, but they would be making the most of the current feel good factor and it would get people back in the habit of regularly going to Oakwell that we've all gotten out of. If people can afford to go to the ground they are more likely to buy food, drink, programme and merchandise. If you price them out of going then they are going to be far less likely to buy a shirt or something else.

As far as I know, the OAP discount at Oakwell starts at 65. I distinctly remember getting the discount at Wembley for the JPT and playoff finals (just after I was 60) and being shocked at the start of the next season not to get it at Oakwell. I know I didn't get it for the last home game I went to. I did get it at Crewe in the cup last season.

Absolutely, no way will I be asking for any money back. The club has done their absolute best to give us as much coverage as they can. I'll be investing in another ST as soon as possible and hopefully get access to Oakwell very soon

You get OAP discount at 60 on season tickets only...you need to have been a ticket holder for a number of years... I don't know how many
