Stoke are very similar to us in terms of the games they've lost this season. Their only defeats have come against teams above them in the league (barring one defeat to Bristol City). One difference being, they've drawn a lot of games. They've recently been on a winless run of 9 games, however they drew 6 of those, which is the same as our draw tally for the entire season. Away from home, they haven't won since the start of December (1-0 vs Wycombe), however they've only lost one in that time too, 4-1 last week v Norwich (drawn 6). Whilst we haven't played Stoke much in recent history, our home record is quite good against them. Their win at Oakwell last season was their first since 1986, and ended a run of 10 games without victory at Oakwell for Stoke (8 wins, 2 draws). In our last two meetings, Tyrese Campbell has been their main man. He's out for the game tomorrow which bodes well for us. I reckon this one has draw written all over it. I'm going for 1-1, with Dike getting a 2nd half equaliser. I'd be happy with that to be honest. It's a tough game on paper.
I am going 4-1 as we are overdue giving someone a good thrashing given our recent performances. You Reds
Heart says 3-0 win and a massive statement of intent. While I think this isn't beyond the realms of possibility, my head says that a very tight 1-1 is much more likely.
A lot of optimism in this thread. I usually share that optimism, but I just don't have a great feeling about this one. It could be one of those though that's on a knife edge, and to be fair, in the last 12 months, we've usually nicked the winner in those games.
