Is it 4th,5th,6th and 7th play each other for the right to play 2nd and 3rd in the Semi-Final? Are win onuses allowed in the lower leagues?

For the EFL why not have 5th play 6th, winners then play the 4th place team for the right to play the 3rd placed team for promotion. All single legs.
This way, the higher placed teams who have gained more points are rewarded with an advantage in the playoffs.

I'd like to see more teams promoted from the Championship and more teams relegated. I'd like it to be top 3 promoted plus 1 out of play-offs and four teams relegated from the Premier League. The irony is that now it's all about money it would suit the Premier League to have 24 teams because of more games to broadcast.

    4th play 7th (1)
    5th play 6th (2)

2nd play winners of game 1
3rd play winners of game 2

Winners play off at Wembley, (National North/South team finishing highest in the league plays at home)
