I honestly think with our manager and our system he would flourish right now. Say what you want. He's decent and he's got some balls.

I don’t doubt Val’s skills to get the best out of most players but Wilks has a bad attitude, isn’t a team player and doesn’t work anywhere near enough. Not for me.

I would’ve liked to have seen him up top in Struber’s system but not in our current front 3 under Val.

That was embarrassing for Hull fans and the club.

Total lack of professionalism from Wilkes.

Val would have fcu.ked him off out of the club so quick his feet wouldn't touch the ground. He got shut of simoes due to his attitude, he'd have beat the crap out of someone with an attitude as poor as wilkes'

Did you see him play? He was lazy, very lazy. A player of his work ethic would stick out like a sore thumb in our side. He doesn’t took like he’s got the attitude to change either. Definitely one we’re better off without.

Oh yeah and he's a cheat. The biggest memory I have of him is him constantly throwing himself to the floor trying to con the ref.

Yep, Luke Thomas went the same way. I think Wilkes would have started one game under Val before being shipped off after he sussed him out.

Tbf, we're not allowed to watch training so we haven't a clue what goes off. I like the hard work ethic but for want of a better word "characters" liven football up for us fans.

Can’t agree with that I’m afraid Helen. The penalty taker should be pre-decided and it should be the best penalty taker at the club, shouldn’t be based on who wins it at all imo.

Think the Simoes situation. Sums up what would happen. + Cauley would kick him int balls.

The Twatter link didn't load, so I don't know what all the fuss is about. Back to my cuppa Yorkshire Gold.

Yes it was petulant, yes it was unprofessional and if it happens again then the book should rightly be thrown at him. Is this a regular occurrence or does this just fit nicely with the already poor opinion that alot of our fans had for him?....... I'd still have him in this team, a strong squad/captain/manager would stamp that kind of thing out straight away. Why was it even up for discussion??

Everyone likes characters but for me a character is someone with a funny personality not someone guilty of affray who cheats and is lazy with an attitude problem

Wilkes got fouled and they got a penalty. The club have a set penalty taker but Wilkes threw an hissy fit, the captain instructed Wilkes to give the ball to the penalty taker but as he was about to take it Wilkes shoved the captain so the regular taker gave in and gave Wilkes the ball to take it. He physically bullied the players till he got what he wanted.

Thanks mate. Reading between the lines of the replies, I thought it was something along those lines.

Complete bellend. Hope he carries on banging them in though and some club are daft enough to offer Hull a fortune so we get a tidy sell on.
