I think you're confusing them with Leeds

Fluck them. Horrible set of cheats and their fans are a set of deluded idiots.

Would do English football no harm if a "big club" went to the wall. Send the message out... DO NOT CHEAT.

Crikey became Young Nudge there for a while...

I would laugh my bøllõcks off if they went bust.

AFC Wednesdeh of Sheffold, having to start again on Illsbrogh Pork.

I'd be loving it - all hail the most massive club in the North Sheffield Sunday League, Division 13 (Section B).

Would happily see them go bust. They'd be back in another form before long and it would be hilarious

I'm really angry about it all. Football clubs are a part of our heritage. Wednesday were founded in 1867 - that's only two years after then end of the American civil war. They have been around forever for generations of fans and then some foreign lad with no respect for anything slaps his name all over the stadium and tries to cheat the competition - to cheat us. And it's not just Chansiri, it's all of them. Every last one of the cheating pricks who have tried to force us out of the league by ramping up the spending required. And the worst thing is it won't even be a lesson for the rest of them, like Bolton, Wigan, Portsmouth weren't.

I know David Hirst and remember talking to him after that Milan bloke rescued wednesday, hirsty knew that the club was spending money they didnt really have 'to keep up with the jones''as he put it, and how close this had brought the club to the brink of folding.

he will be sick to the stomach at whats happened since,

Wednesday are one of our rivals, some of their fans are deluded and their board for several years has run the club in a dreadful way. It was right they had points docked and perhaps should gave gone down as a result too. However I don't want any club to go bust. SOME of their fans are decent folks (like I hope I am), they have a fine history from their beginnings as one of the earliest pro clubs), local jobs will be lost (as has been said already) and if as a local South Yorkshire team they were to go bust how then could we crow about beating them 6-0 next time we play? Always nice to stick the boot into Wednesday but wanting them off the face of the planet? Nope.

I don't fully agree. I can see your point, but surely there's room when it's one of the worst clubs for rule-bending, financial doping and general poor attitude all round?

I'm not saying I want them to end, just to get their just desserts for the last 10-15 years.

If the bottom three this year was them, Derby and Brum I'd be ecstatic (I know it won't be, like!).

Pretty sure they're not allowed to move it out of the town on a permanent basis.

That's another reason to enjoy what's happening with the Reds this season. It might be ugly to watch at times, but there's a good feeling about sticking two fingers up to teams that have blown millions on overpaid, underperforming garbage.

It’s not like a Newcastle or even dirty Leeds folding, there is another Sheffield club the fans could switch to. Do we really need 2 Sheffield clubs?
