Oh dear another one gone. Loved watching Saint and Greavsie when I was younger. Saturday was always better when they were on.

    RIP Ian

    Amazing fact.
Ian St John scored the winning goal v Leeds to win the FA Cup for the first time in 1964.
Hard to believe Liverpool had never won the cup before then.

Yes amazing fact Ian. Actually the Cup win was 1965. I only know because an ex-son in law was a Liverpool supporter and he mentioned the fact once or twice. Anyway footage here of the game:

Gutted. I'm not old enough to remember him for his sporting prowess but Saint n' Greavsie was always a welcome part of my matchday build up. He seemed a genuinely decent fella.

Remember him having a right go at me when I was lining in a cup tie at Anfield! Last time I saw him was at Rockley Hall, where Jack Charlton lived.
    RIP Ian.
