Hi Just read a article on BBC Business section, which is now on BBC Sport, Football section, about the use of Data use in football. Mr Lee is quoted quite a lot in the article. Apologies if already posted.
I was expecting them to be claiming credit for the work of James/ Patrick Cryne - we've been using data primarily since before the takeover, after all! But reading what Chien Lee says there, he's bang on. We're using the data for coaches too now, and to find the specific sort of player for our system too. I'm not sure that was the case before. Whether that's down to the consortium, Dane, Ganaye, Beane, Cryne.... who knows!
Thanks for posting. Well - I guess Chien has clarified his objectives for us: Whichever way it goes, Mr Lee is happy to invest in football for the long term. "Some of the owners have different purposes when they buy clubs but for us we want to invest in the club, grow it and make money. Finding the right talent through data helps us to do that."
It also confirmed what Murray said about shooting from range. The players are encouraged not to do it.
I need a job at BFC, I could be Whiteys go for , you know why , you ready for this .............................................. I live my life data day
