Let's give everyone who's not rich more money, just print more money, reduce all MPs wages now by 50%, get labour in they'll sort it. Boris needs to go to prison for crimes against our country. Investigations in to all the back handers Tory boys have taken, get that money back it will be billions back in to our economy. We should be able to have all the EU benefits but not be part of it or pay in to it. Shut the borders to everyone but let in the really good ones. If we had locked down 2 weeks earlier. Are we prepared for the next unknown disaster? . Stop flooding now spend more billions on stopping it raining, dredge every bit of our waterways, re new all our drainage system we pay our rates. Right on. Our country has been destroyed by the conservatives can't everyone see that surely we can abolish the tory party before its too late.

Agree with all you're saying, but I think the main point is the one that Helen made: it's not, or it shouldn't be, either or. I think it's indicative of exactly the kind of propaganda to which we're constantly being bombarded that the (clearly very nice and well intentioned) midwife believes it is. We can pay NHS staff what they deserve, have a good national health service, and protect and provide for the casualties of Lockdown.

Having lived in other countries including the US I completely agree with what you say but I also believe that the NHS needs a proper review and changes to get rid of a lot of the waste in management... too many pen pushers stealing a wage.
