If I’m honest I think we’ll just fall short....but given the choice out of the 2, I’d definitely choose automatic, I wouldn’t want the stress of the play off lottery.
Definitely automatics for me but I think it may be a step too far on our current points. Failing that, I hope we get into the playoffs, but this season has surpassed my expectations and the improvement has been outstanding.
Relegation for me. No further wins and docked 12 points by a Red Rain influenced EFL panel for playing unentertaining football
If we made 2nd we'd realistically have to win pretty much every game, which would put us on something like +17 as a minimum. And the current 2-4 would have to lose a lot of games, which would take them down quite a lot. My point is, if by some outside chance we get into the automatic promotion mix then our current GD is pretty much irrelevant.
Once happened to Hull they were on 48 points in November and didn't win a game for months... Those comments on here
I have had money on Barnsley since start of season to finish in top half, to get in top 6 and to go up automatic so I hope I'm wrong
Stop it, if you said we would be in this position at the start every red fan would have bit your hand off were having a great season anything else is a bonus the players should have a nothing to lose attitude
I punted solely based on the team spirit under Struber late last season. I just thought the team might kick on and surprise folk. Might still be wrong of course but doing very well so far
Great point. Because if we win our game in hand this week we'll be closer to 2nd than they are to safety.
Play-offs would kill me. I was ripping my bit of hair out against Swansea, and that was only to get into this division. They're so stressful. The 2006 ones nearly ended me. I had no doubt we'd win them in 2016, so I was pretty relaxed. This time, though? Eek. Please, no!
