    They're looking on enviously at Ipswich and Sunderland. Meanwhile Neil Thompson is making a late push at becoming my favourite player from the 96/97 squad.

    Doesn't deserve to have ended up at the sty. Always seems very level headed in interviews but bizarre to think he's got more wins under his belt than Monk and Pulls combined.

    Only a matter of time before someone mentions how if both clubs merged as Sheffield City and played in a neutral colour like black, they could fill a 70,000 brand new all seater stadium and win the Premier League instead of dividing the city over two clubs.

    The thing is why time and again over the past couple of a decades, why some mediocre clubs' fanbases get to big for their shoes and why we have little come back other than the year we were formed and our history. It is down to how short sighted and mediocre Wednesday has been run as a club for too many years.
