Something to do with with a birmingham player being colourblind

One of their players is colour blind so he wouldn’t have been able to differentiate between our players and theirs, if they wore their green kit, apparently

i read the report as one of our players is colourblind. we asked them to wear blue and the ref asked us the wear black shorts.

i assume this to be correct as Birmingham would have realised before now that green wasn't working for the player is question.

They definitely said a Birmingham player was colourblind yesterday but I've read reports on a couple of websites which say it's a Barnsley player who is and it was us who asked for the change

Doug O Kane. Tweet something to the effect that it’s one of our players but the club don’t wish to make it known.

Matt Bailey said it was a Birmingham player. Can't be a Barnsley player as Preston played in all Green when we played them at Oakwell.

Unless our player wasn't playing that game?

Millwall wore a green kit last week and we still wore white shorts ? So I assumed it was one of The Birmingham player.

We let them wear white shorts so we could visibly see that they had **** themselves when Dike was charging towards them.

It's not the white that clashes. We changed from white because they were wearing white, they were wearing white because their green kit would have clashed with our red kit. (I get that Millwall's would still have clashed but that wouldn't have had an impact on our shorts).

I have noticed more than once this season though that both teams have worn white shorts in different divisions so it can’t be a hard and fast rule. I can’t believe that Brum didn’t bring blue shorts with them. Everybody in the whole world knows that we play in red and white!

Yep it's definitely the red and green that's a clash but what confuses me is that doesn't Collins wear green a lot? Or has he started wearing black now?

Doug O’Kane’s tweet was pretty clear it was one of our players and then he’s clarified it in the Chronicle on-line.

A brum player is colour blind so wouldn't be able to tell their green away strip from our red one, they didn't have any alternative so as a helpful gesture we wore black shorts allowing them to play in their home kit. Personally I like the red shirts and socks with black shorts, reminds me of some great away days and Wembley 2016. Much prefer it to the yellow. For me we should only change the item(s) of kit that clash with the home team's kit as follows - Shirt - white, Shorts - black and Socks - white.

I thought Matt Bailey read out Doug O’Kane’s tweet but misinterpreted it. Maybe Millwall refused to change?
