    I don't know if you've taken that quote from a website, or just posted a snippet of what he said in his interview, but if you listen to it all, it's quite different, and he's not really wrong.

    Was just about to say this too. I haven't any exact quotes, but it sounded to me like he said we were a good team and deserved to be in the play off positions.

    Here's a direct quote from a press interview:

    "I think when you lose a couple of games - you can have a game where you're coming up against a footballing team and you're trying to match them or you're coming up against a team where you have to break them down. This is none of them, this is a battle [laughs]. Watching Barnsley's games - the ball will go forward and they won't think about playing."

    Amazing how when we beat teams it’s ‘but you don’t play good football’, as if it’s excuses their inability to beat us. Another one is ‘dragged us down to your level’

    This is fans of clubs that pay their players and managers a fortune in wages.

    The simple answer is, yes we’re direct and in your face, but don’t let it stop you from rolling the ball about and looking like Brazil, if you’re better at football, crack on an prove it.

    Sounds like rug heads making excuses before we’ve even kicked off.

    Yes and no. I think you know that. Are you a journalist?

    The (almost) exact quote is: "It'll be a scrappy game. They're possibly the most direct team in the league. They don't mess around with it, they don't try and play. They get the ball forward, they get in your box. They make it difficult for you."

    Pretty accurate summary of our style of play, if I'm honest. We don't play around with it. We get the ball forward at almost every opportunity and then look to cause problems in the final third of the field.
